Peter Dulborough in Concert  with vocalist Annica Wejdmark

Special guest Laura Manescalchi on flute

Following a packed and very enjoyable gig at ‘Cuculia’ last December, I am returning again this time with friend and vocalist Annica Wejdmark.

Annica is a wonderful singer who I have worked with since 2007, and we have played in numerous concerts and also recorded together in the studio. She sang on my CD ‘Jigsaw’.

Annica comes form Stockholm in Sweden and is working with me at the moment on some new songs which we are performing, and then recording in the studio for a new ‘EP’ this autumn.

At the moment, I am preparing a new version of my website with downloads of my new songs. This will be ready in the autumn too.

I hope to see you there at the gig if you can make it. It was a very special evening last December at ‘Cuculia’. The people who run the place are great and the food and drinks are wonderful too!

Above all the audience at the last gig in December were amazing ! They were so warm and appreciative. Thank you everyone who came! I was so thankful for all your support.

I’m really looking forward to May 6th, when I’ll be singing with Annica and where I’ll also be playing one of my songs with flautist Laura Manescalchi.

I hope to see you at ‘Cuculia’ on Sunday May 6th!  The gig is at 9pm and you can get a great ‘apericena’ or have dinner beforehand.

Hope to see you there!

Peter Dulborough in Concert in Florence

‘Cuculia libreria con cucina’

Via dei Serragli 3/R

I am back in concert for an evening playing a mixture of old and new songs at the trendy and popular bar and meeting point – ‘Cuculia’.‘Cuculia in Libreria con cucina’ is a small and intimate venue. It has all sorts of exhibitions and shows and small acoutstic gigs.

I’ll be playing my established set of song such as ‘Heading for the Shore’ and ‘Laburnum Trees’ as well as some new songs.

I’ll be joined for the evening by Giada Catalano.

Giada has a wonderful voice and is also a songwriter. She’ll sing a couple of my songs as well as her own, and will be providing backing vocals.

It should be a great night and I hope those of you in Florence can come along!

The music start soon after 9pm and with a short interval will finish at 11pm.

The atmosphere of the venue is very relaxed and lively … and they do great cocktails!

See you there!

Vision

 A language without words

Music is a language that lays all bare. Emotions, soul and experience.  It is hard to hide from or not be moved by the wonder of a piece of music that is really inspired.

Music is a unique ‘language without words’ that reaches deep within us to our innermost being.  Whatever our background, this language has no barriers and communicates to all ages and nationalities without the need for any words. We are never alone as long as we have music with us. And we are never alone as long as  with songs to inspire us. Inspiration is what lies behind a song.

Mining the heart for songs

I don’t feel as  if I create songs as much as uncover music and song already waiting to be found. It’s like ‘mining’. Mining for diamonds or buried treasure deep inside the heart. The treasure lies underground and  needs unearthing and discovering.

Universal appeal

My songs are personal but I try to make them universal . You need to find a common feeling or thread in the emotions expressed. Otherwise you  have a song without an audience. And a song without an audience is like a tree without branches.  Songs need to stretch out  and communicate feelings and passions that lie inside us all.
